Open Call: Share Your Research on Banana Production in SIEMBRA Magazine.

The Banana Exporters Association of Ecuador (AEBE) invites academics, researchers, undergraduate and graduate students, as well as companies developing studies related to banana production, to submit their proposals for the upcoming Dossier titled "Banana Production: Challenges and Opportunities," which will be published in SIEMBRA Magazine, the scientific journal of the Central University of Ecuador.


The Dossier aims to address key topics in banana production, such as:


  • Banana diseases and their control through biotechnology and advanced agricultural practices.

  • Emerging phytopathological threats.

  • Climate resilience in banana production.

  • Recovery of banana soils.

  • Commercial challenges and opportunities, and consumption trends.

  • Phytosanitary regulations.


This editorial effort, led by nationally and internationally recognized experts, aims to bring together innovative research and practices that contribute to strengthening this strategic sector for the country.

Interested parties may submit their manuscripts through the SIEMBRA Magazine's online system by March 25, 2025, following the author guidelines available on the journal's official website.


This publication is part of a collaboration between the Central University of Ecuador and AEBE, reflecting their commitment to promoting scientific knowledge that benefits the Ecuadorian banana sector.
